Breathing New Life into Words is the flagship Spell A Vision course: a media-integrated language arts curriculum designed for middle school, high school, homeschool, library, and community learning environments. Built around short Word Story videos, vocabulary development, critical thinking, reflection, discussion, writing, and creative response, the course helps learners experience words not only as definitions to memorize, but as living structures of meaning, sound, history, imagination, and insight.

Spell A Vision was founded by Diana Soto and Will Carpenter, who retain ownership of the original copyrighted curricula, educational videos, and associated creative works developed under the Spell A Vision initiative, including future programs and educational materials.

The flagship course, Breathing New Life into Words, is licensed for educational distribution through World Trust Network (WTN), providing a pathway for schools and educational institutions to access this innovative approach to language arts.

Word Story Videos

At the center of Spell A Vision are short, thought-provoking Word Story videos.

Curriculum Format

Spell A Vision is designed as a flexible, media-integrated curriculum.

The flagship course, Breathing New Life into Words, is structured as an 18-lesson language arts experience, with one word explored in each lesson. Each lesson follows a simple rhythm:

As Spell A Vision grows, this resource may support classroom lessons, homeschool study, library programs, Word Story videos, writing prompts, and future publishing.

Diana Soto is a writer, curriculum and program developer, and producer of the Spell A Vision initiative. With a background in cultural anthropology, writing, publishing, and personal development, she brings a lifelong interest in language, human potential, and the power of ideas to inspire meaningful change.

Under her leadership, this woman-owned educational initiative is committed to expanding access to meaningful, high-quality learning experiences that inspire literacy, imagination, and critical thought.

Beyond her professional work, Diana enjoys writing, publishing, exploring new ideas, and bringing people together around a shared purpose. She believes education should do more than impart knowledge—it should awaken curiosity and help individuals discover their creative potential.

Will Carpenter

Co-Founder & Creative Director

Will Carpenter is the original creator and creative force behind Spell A Vision’s Word Story videos, symbolic language method, visual word exploration, and media-integrated approach to literacy.

His imaginative approach to language invites learners to explore words through their letters, sounds, symbolism, and associations. His work establishes the artistic, intellectual, and methodological foundation of the initiative.

Beyond his educational creations, Will enjoys woodworking as an artistic expression, transforming natural materials into imaginative works of art. A curious and reflective thinker, he finds inspiration in exploring the deeper meaning and connections within all things. He believes words are more than instruments of communication—they are gateways to imagination, discovery, and new ways of understanding the world.
